What is Video Production?

Updated: May 22, 2023

The term "Video Production" describes the entire process of making a video from conceptualizing and writing the screenplay to filming, editing, and post-production for a range of uses including advertisements, educational purposes, entertainment and more. It involves a few technological and artistic components such as, Cinematography, Lighting, Sound Design and Visual Effects.

The process typically includes the following steps:

Pre-Production: This is the planning stage, where we work with clients to define their goals, target audience, and concept. This involves script writing, storyboarding, location scouting, and casting.

Production: This is the shooting stage, where the actual footage is captured. This can take place on a set or on location and involves using professional equipment such as cameras, lighting, and sound recording devices.

Post-Production: This is the editing stage, where the raw footage is transformed into a final product. This includes editing the footage, adding special effects, sound design, and color correction.

At Liberal Arts Productions, we believe that video production is an art form that combines storytelling and technology. Our team of experienced professionals works closely with clients to bring their vision to life. As a production house, we're always looking for ways to deliver the best to our clients.
